At Sandboxx we are always working hard to listen to our Sandboxx customers and Sandboxx families. In this series, learn more about people who utilize Sandboxx to stay connected with their recruits and trainees. Here is Whitley's story about how Sandboxx helped her stay connected with her recruit:

1. Tell us a little bit about yourself and your recruit or your recent graduate. Where are you from? Which branch of the military is your recruit in?

My recruit and I recently got engaged back in December. I am a new graduate nurse and my recruit enlisted in the United States Marine Corps to become a firefighter. We are both from Florida and currently pursuing our passions in life.

2. How did sending letters with Sandboxx help you connect and stay in touch with your recruit during basic training?

Sending letters with Sandboxx has helped me connect and communicate with my recruit during his time at basic training. Communicating with the recruits can be challenging, especially without their phones. Sandboxx has made this process a breeze for me as they provide my recruit with envelopes and paper with the simplicity of purchasing a token. I especially enjoy the feature of being able to be notified when my recruit sends back a letter and being able to track his letters.

3. How did you first hear about Sandboxx? After using it for a while, what do you think about Sandboxx?

I first heard about Sandboxx through a friend. Her brother had recently enlisted into the United States Marine Corps and introduced me to the Sandboxx app. Sandboxx has made this adjustment in my life an effortless transition in regards to being able to communicate with my recruit.

4. Any plans for your recruit after basic training? What’s next for you or for them?

Our plans after my recruit graduates from basic training are to spend time together on the water fishing until his next ship-of date for infantry school. I highly recommend Sandboxx to all of those who would like to stay in touch with their recruit during their time at basic training as this helps make communicating with your recruit effortless.
