At Sandboxx we are always working hard to listen to our Sandboxx customers and Sandboxx families. In this series, learn more about people who utilize Sandboxx to stay connected with their recruits and trainees. Here is Nora’s story about how Sandboxx helped her stay connected with her recruit:

1. Tell us a little bit about yourself and your recruit or your recent graduate. Where are you from? Which branch of the military is your recruit in?

I am a Naturalized American from Philippines. My kids father died when my oldest Quennie was 8 months old and I was 2 months pregnant with Princess. I married my second husband Melvin who love my 2 girls like his own. Now Quennie is 22 & Princess is 21, both enlisted in the Air Force in April & May 2022.

2. How did sending letters with Sandboxx help you connect and stay in touch with your recruit during basic training?

Princess left in April and Quennie left in May. With both girls gone, Sandboxx filled that hole that they left behind. The next day delivery with tracking is very convenient. It's like me reaching out to them, and making them feel we are here to support them. Especially when Princess went to Med Hold for a heart condition @ WOT5. I couldn't have done it without Sandboxx.

3. How did you first hear about Sandboxx? After using it for a while, what do you think about Sandboxx?

Before Quennie & Princess left for BMT. They said to download Sandboxx, and also, one of Princess's friends who recently graduated BMT, mentioned how convenient it was for him to have a pre-printed envelope and a piece of paper ready for him to write back. And yes, I LOVE it!

4. Any plans for your recruit after basic training? What’s next for you or for them?

Princess is home currently. She was separated for her medical condition but she can re-enlist once her condition is stable and she would need a waiver. She said it might not be easy for her to go back, but she's not giving up that easy. I saw how hard she fought while at Med Hold. We are so proud of our little lady Quennie. Quennie was recycled. She contracted Covid-19 during WOT5, failed her PT test as it was given to her two (2) days after she got out of isolation. She completed BEAST week WOT and graduate July 27-28, 2022. I will continue to use Sandboxx until both of them graduates.
