Who can join Waypoints?

Waypoints is for Recruiters and Recruits.

Is Waypoints secure?

Yes. Waypoints utilizes the most modern security protocols and encryption. We have regular third-party security audits and additionally have built-in spam filtering and content flags.

What is Waypoints?

Waypoints is military communication reimagined. This is a tool that allows you to manage your prospects, communicate securely, and have access to exclusive content and valuable resources all in one place.

How is Waypoints different from other apps?

Waypoints was built with direct feedback from recruiters, commands, and recruits. Waypoints has built-in tools and content tailor-made for recruiters. Ultimately, Waypoints eliminates the need to use multiple apps to communicate with your recruits, instead allowing you to communicate securely in one centralized place. We’re continuing to improve Waypoints and if you have any feedback and/or suggestions we’re happy to hear them.

What can I use Waypoints for?

Manage your prospects to ensure you meet your goals. Waypoints flags recruits who are missing items, and may be prone to drop out. With Waypoints, you can message individual recruits, or start a group chat. Waypoints alerts your prospects directly on their mobile devices with automatic notifications. Plus, enjoy exclusive, tailored content and resources to help you better meet your goals and stay up to date.

What is the Waypoints Dashboard?

The Waypoints Dashboard provides an at-a-glance summary of your prospects. You can view a summary of your Active Recruits, Upcoming Ship Dates, and total Unread Messages.

How do I view my Active Recruits on Web?

Click on Waypoints, and a drop-down menu will appear, click Recruit Lookup. This will take you to a list of your active recruits, and allow you to search for specific recruits by name.

How do I view my Active Recruits on Mobile?

In the Waypoints Dashboard, click Active Recruits. This will take you to a list of your active recruits, and allow you to search for specific recruits by name.

Can I view Upcoming Ship Dates?

Yes. In the Waypoints Dashboard, click Upcoming Ship Dates. This lists all recruits who have an assigned ship date.

How do I search for a specific recruit?

Click Recruit Lookup in the top navigation bar. Once here you can search recruits by name. When you find the recruit you are looking for, click their name to go to the recruit’s profile. Here you can see their contact details and ship date or start a chat.

Can I add recruits to Waypoints?

Navigate to Recruit Lookup, then click “Add new recruit” at the bottom of your screen. You can choose to invite one, or multiple recruits here by entering each recruit’s email address. Click “Send Invites” and the recruit(s) will receive an email invite to Waypoints.

How do I create a group chat with Waypoints?

To start a new chat, or open an existing chat, click the chat icon in the top right-hand corner of your screen. This takes you to your existing chats. Click the orange icon in the top right corner of the screen to start a new chat. Here, you can select one, or multiple recruits to add to a new chat.

Can I search within a chat on Waypoints?

Yes. Navigate to your chats, then select the conversation you’d like to search. Click the info icon in the top right corner of your screen, once here select “Search in channel”.

Can I mute members of a chat?

Yes. Navigate to Chats and select the one you’d like to mute a member in. Click the info icon in the top right-hand corner of the screen. This will display the chat information, click Members to view the participants of the chat. Click the member you would like to mute and a menu will appear with the option to select Mute.

How do I unmute members of a chat?

Navigate to Chats and select the one you’d like to unmute a member in. Click the info icon in the top right-hand corner of the screen. This will display the chat information, click Members to view the participants of the chat. Click the member you would like to unmute and a menu will appear with the option to select Unmute.

Can I edit my message after it’s sent?

Yes. Navigate to the message you’d like to edit, then press and hold the message you’d like to edit. A window will appear with the option to react with an emoji, copy, edit, or delete the given message. Select “Edit” to update the message.

Can I pause, or freeze a chat?

Yes. Select the chat you’d like to freeze and click the Info icon in the top right-hand corner of your screen. Select Moderations, then toggle the Freeze Channel option to On. This will turn the button from gray to blue.

Can I leave a chat?

Yes. Navigate to Chats and select the one you’d like to leave. Click the info icon in the top right-hand corner of the screen. This will display the chat information, click Leave Channel. This will also remove the chat from your list of conversations.

Can I delete a message once it’s been sent?

Yes. Navigate to the message you’d like to delete, then press and hold the message you’d like to delete. A window will appear with the option to react with an emoji, copy, edit, or delete the given message. Select “Delete” to delete the message.

Can I ban members from a chat?

Yes. Navigate to Chats and select the one you’d like to ban a member in. Click the info icon in the top right-hand corner of the screen. This will display the chat information, click Members to view the participants of the chat. Click the member you would like to ban and a menu will appear with the option to select Ban.

How do I unban members of a chat?

Navigate to Chats and select the one you’d like to unban a member in. Click the info icon in the top right-hand corner of the screen. This will display the chat information, click Moderations. Then, click Banned Members, this will show which participants have been banned from the chat. Click the member you’d like to unban and a menu will populate with the option to select Unban.
