What is Waypoints?

Waypoints is a feature within the Sandboxx app that enables Recruits and Recruiters to connect, exchange messages, share stories, and consume content, all relevant to your pre-boot camp journey.

How is Waypoints different from other apps?

Waypoints combines all the information you need to prepare for basic training in one place. Access everything from packing lists to comprehensive guides and more. Waypoints also provides recruits with direct access to communication with their Recruiter. As a recruit, you can have peace of mind knowing you have completed all your prerequisites before you ship.

What can I use Waypoints for?

Securely chat with your Recruiter, join a group chat, and post messages, images, pictures, and PDF files. Plus you can explore content tailor-made for you in an easy-to-consume video format.

How does someone join Waypoints?

Simply create an account on Sandboxx as a Military Service Member. Once you are logged into the app, select Waypoints in the bottom right hand side of your screen. If you have any questions or run into any issues, contact our team at happiness@sandboxx.us

What is the Waypoints Dashboard?

The Waypoints Dashboard shows the number of days until your ship date once this has been assigned. You can also view exclusive content to help you prepare for basic training, from packing lists to guides and branch-specific information.

How do I connect with my Recruiter?

In the menu at the top of your screen, select My Recruiter, then click Add New Recruiter. You will be prompted to enter the code you received via email from your recruiter. This is an 8-character code made up of letters and numbers. After inputting your code, select Join Waypoints. Now, you should see your recruiter’s information under My Recruiter.

How do I view my chats?

Click the icon in the upper right hand corner of your screen to view chats your recruiter has added you to. Here, you can also Request Access by clicking the button at the bottom of your screen.

How do I leave a chat?

Navigate to Chats and select the one you’d like to leave. Click the info icon in the top right hand corner of the screen. This will display the chat information, click Leave Channel. You will be prompted to confirm your decision to leave the group, click Leave, and you will be removed from the chat.
