We understand the importance of staying in touch with your loved ones during their training, and we've made it easy for you to continue using Sandboxx. In this help article, we'll guide you through the simple steps to send letters when you're not directly connected to your recruit.
We currently don’t have mailing addresses for all boot camp locations. Your recruit may be at a training facility that hasn’t provided us with that information. If you have any questions about the address, please reach out to our Customer Happiness Team. To ensure your letters reach your recruit promptly, it’s best to wait until you have the correct address before sending anything. Sending letters without the right information could lead to delays or returns.
Steps to Send Letters When Not Connected to Your Recruit:
Navigate to the Home Tab: Open the Sandboxx app and navigate to the Home tab, which is typically the default landing page upon launching the app.
Tap on "Start Writing": Look for the "Start Writing" button or icon and tap on it to begin composing your letter.
Select "+ New Recipient": Within the letter composition interface, locate and select the "+ New Recipient" option. This allows you to add a new contact to send your letter to.
Choose the Base: From the list of options provided, select the base where your recruit is attending training. This helps us ensure accurate and timely delivery of your letter.
Follow Address Formatting Prompts: Sandboxx will guide you through the necessary steps to format the address correctly. Simply follow the prompts provided to input the necessary details. However, if the base is not listed, you have the option to manually enter the address instead.
Create the New Contact: Once you have accurately formatted the address, create the new contact within Sandboxx. This allows you to save the recipient's information for future use.
Compose and Send Your Letter: With the recipient added, you can now proceed to compose your letter. Express your thoughts, and encouragement, or simply stay connected through your heartfelt words. Once you're satisfied with your message, tap the "Send" button to dispatch your letter.
Important Notes:
Overnight Shipping for Basic Training Locations: Please note that Sandboxx offers overnight shipping with tracking specifically for basic training locations. This ensures expedited and reliable delivery to your recruit during their training period.
USPS Shipping for Other Locations: For letters sent to locations other than basic training, we utilize USPS for delivery. These letters do not include tracking and will always appear as "Sent" in the app. They will not be marked as "Delivered." Typically, these letters arrive within 2-3 business days.
